Title: Brief update on the stellar-mass BH mass and spin measurement

Abstract: BHs are one of the most mysterious objects in the universe, and usually there are two kinds of different BHs: supermassive and stellar-mass. Regarding to the supermassive BHs, they have played a key role in the galaxy formation and evolution. However, stellar-mass BHs, the miniature of the supermassive ones, provide an excellent chance for us to understand the properties of BHs. In this talk, I will start with reviewing the basic properties of BHs, then I will summarise the different methods of measuring the mass and spin of a BH with some examples. Finally, I will give an overview and prospect to the field.
